Substate brackets for the 2026 soccer postseason are now available for all four classes of IHSAA soccer.
The first round of postseason games are scheduled for Monday, May 18 (1A and 2A) and Tuesday, May 19 (3A and 4A). Second round substate games will be played on Wednesday, May 27, and substate final games are set for Friday, May 29.
New in 2026: Substate final winners will advance to the state quarterfinals, to be played at four class-specific sites in central Iowa. Quarterfinal matches are set for Monday, June 1 with matchups to be determined.
The 2026 IHSAA State Soccer Tournament presented by Iowa Farm Bureau will continue at Mediacom Stadium in Des Moines with semifinals and finals set to run from June 3-5.
IHSAA SUBSTATE Brackets
This spring marks the third season IHSAA committee rankings have been utilized for soccer as a primary tool to help determine the seeding and brackets in each class.
Since 2023, IHSAA soccer has featured four classes:
- Class 4A: Largest 36 schools
- Class 3A: Next 40 schools
- Class 2A: Next 48 schools
- Class 1A: Remaining schools
