Iowa’s High School SUMMER PASTIME
The IHSAA has held a baseball state championship each year since 1928, and Iowa remains the only state in the country that plays summer baseball. Each season concludes with the advancement of eight teams from each of four classifications playing at the home of the Iowa Cubs, Principal Park in downtown Des Moines.
