The IHSAA is entering an exciting new era for video in 2025-26, managing state tournament broadcasts and streams for the first time.

Our goal: Provide easy and accessible state tournament coverage to serve our student-athletes, schools, and Iowans.

WHAT’s ON NEXT?

SOCCER

State Tournament – June 1, 3, 4, 5

Coverage from the 2026 IHSAA State Soccer Tournament presented by Iowa Farm Bureau will cover all four days and four sites of the June 1-5 event in central Iowa.

Quarterfinals on Monday, June 1 will shown as 16 free livestreams through Hudl (video only) on the IHSAA website Watch page from Valley (4A), Indianola (3A), Gilbert (2A), and Mediacom Stadium (1A).

The semifinals and finals, set for June 3-5 at Mediacom Stadium, will be broadcasts through the IHSAA’s network, with free streaming, statewide over the air TV coverage, as well as other over the top TV options.

All three days of coed coverage from Drake Stadium will be available for viewing through the IHSAA’s network, with streaming, statewide over the air coverage, as well as other over the top options.

Finals – Friday, March 13

Iowa PBS will broadcast at the IHSAA State Basketball Tournament through statewide Iowa PBS for the first time ever! Friday’s four finals will appear live on television, on the IHSAA’s Watch page, and will be livestreamed on iowapbs.org and the Iowa PBS YouTube.

Details:

  • Select state tournament events and rounds will feature other television partners, to be announced.
  • Postseason lead-up events will continue to be available via NFHS Network and IHSAA Video Access. Free-to-view events through Video Access partners appear on Showcase via Watch page.
  • Live broadcasts of remaining IHSAA championships (bowling, cross country, golf, tennis) are not currently planned for 2025-26. To be considered for the future, as possible.

The Iowa High School Athletic Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers free membership to all high schools in Iowa that are recognized by the Department of Education. The IHSAA works to coordinate, develop, direct, and promote boys’ high school and junior high sports and student activities across the state of Iowa.
