BOONE, Iowa — The Iowa High School Athletic Association has renewed its partnership with Hometown as the official digital ticketing provider for boys’ postseason athletic events across the state. With this extension, IHSAA will again absorb all spectator fees associated with tickets purchased through Hometown for all IHSAA postseason events, excluding coed events.
“Our partnership with Hometown has helped modernize and streamline how we manage ticketing across our events,” said IHSAA executive director Tom Keating.
“Hometown’s Box Office solution provides the reliability, efficiency, and ease of use our schools and communities expect, and we’re excited to continue building on that success together. And, by IHSAA absorbing Hometown fees, the price of the ticket reflects exactly what fans will pay.”
Since 2021, the partnership has facilitated the sale of over 2.3 million tickets across IHSAA events statewide. The extended agreement, running through 2031, reinforces both organizations’ commitment to supporting Iowa’s student-athletes and the millions of fans who rely on Iowa high school activities as cornerstones of their communities.
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Iowa High School Athletic Association,” said Dennis Levene, CEO of Hometown. “IHSAA plays a vital role in supporting student-athletes and communities across the state, and we’re honored to provide a ticketing solution that helps simplify operations while creating a better experience for fans.”
Hometown’s Box Office solution provides secure, mobile-friendly, and cashless ticketing, along with real-time sales reporting and integrated payment processing. Through this continued partnership, IHSAA will maintain an efficient, digital-first approach to ticketing for its boys’ postseason athletic events.
“Our partnership with Hometown Ticketing fulfills our goals to have a platform that facilitates a positive gate experience, financial practices consistent with our auditors’ expectations, control of creating seating manifests, and exceptional customer service” Keating said.
IHSAA host schools will receive updated Hometown point-of-sale technology this fall, as well as cash purchase guidance following the approval of SF274 from the Iowa state legislature this spring.
