STATE WRESTLING CENTRAL
The state of Iowa is known as the breeding ground of high-caliber wrestlers, and this culminates every year with the sold-out wrestling championships at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The IHSAA’s 2020 State Wrestling Tournament will take place on February 20-22, with the Dual Tournament taking place on February 19.

State WRESTLING Spectator Information
Tickets to the 2020 State Wrestling Championships (both Duals and Traditional) are $10.
Tickets are available for purchase online through Iowa Events Center or at the Wells Fargo Arena box office.
For State Duals, doors open 60 minutes before each session begins.
For State Tournament, doors open 90 minutes before each session begins.
Tickets are required for all attendees two years and older.
Printed programs from the IHSAA are for sale for $5 each at State Duals and the State Tournament.
Bracket updates will be available Friday and Saturday for $5 each.
New in 2020, a Finals Program Poster with Saturday night’s lineup will be for sale for $1.
Programs are sold at Wells Fargo Arena by students and parents from ADM, Adel.
Media members should enter through the VIP & Media entrance in the NW corner of the building.

Form will close on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m.
Intended only for IHSAA-approved media outlets. Freelance or independent applications not accepted.
School Media Representatives: May include one adult or one student per qualifying school. Representatives must bring an attendance letter from an administrator and daily ticket to media entrance for a credential. No pre-registration required.

STATE QUALIFYING TOURNAMENTS
Sixteen wrestlers qualify for each bracket across 14 weight classes in three classifications. In 2A and 1A, the top two wrestlers from Sectional tournaments advance to District competition. The top two finishers from every 3A, 2A, and 1A District tournament advance to the state tournament.
Eight teams qualify in each classification for the state tournament. In 2A and 1A, team champions and team runners-up out of the Sectional tournaments compete in Regional duals. In 3A, the top 24 rated teams by the IWCOA’s rankings will compete in Regional duals.
