BOONE, Iowa — Coverage from the 2026 IHSAA State Baseball Tournament presented by Iowa Farm Bureau will feature live broadcasts and streams from Carroll (1A, 2A) and Cedar Rapids (3A, 4A) through the IHSAA’s Hy-Vee Championship Network.
All 28 games may be seen through free streaming, statewide over the air TV coverage, and other over the top options through the IHSAA’s TV Tournament Partners.
Quarterfinal and semifinal games across the first four days (July 20-23) are scheduled to be played simultaneously. Tournament Partners may select games based on schedule availability and coverage areas. Please check local listings for daily schedules.
As announced last August, IHSAA now provides free streaming through its website and has events appear across multiple TV and digital platforms through arrangements with Gray Media, Marquee Sports Network, Mediacom, and Nexstar.
Video production for this two-site tournament will be managed by KCRG at Cedar Rapids and Iowa Media Network at Carroll.

- Bartt Carney, analyst: Bartt Carney is a graduate of Williamsburg High School and continued his baseball career at Indian Hills Community College. Carney was selected in the 20th round of the MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox and went on to play professionally in both the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles organizations, advancing to the AAA level during his career.
- Nate Clayberg, play-by-play: Clayberg began his radio broadcasting career while in high school in Webster City, Iowa, and has since worked at stations in Boone, Ames, Cedar Rapids, and Richmond, Virginia. His experience includes calling VCU women’s basketball and ESPN3 broadcasts of UNI softball and women’s basketball, and serving as the voice of the Jesup J-Hawks Sports Network. He also serves as public address announcer at the IHSAA football championships. Away from the headset, he is the business & industry director for the CAPS Network. Clayberg and his wife Kelly live near Jesup.
- Dewayne Cook, play-by-play: Dewayne Cook is the Director of Broadcast for GoKnoxvilleTV, a sub-network of Iowa Media Network dedicated to covering Knoxville High School athletics and activities. A 2015 graduate of the University of Florida, Cook moved to Iowa in January 2020 for a career opportunity before joining the IMN in 2022. When he is not on the air, Cook enjoys spending time with his wife, Sadie, and their children Kayva and newborn son, Kylen.
- David Fine, play-by-play: David Fine has been a play-by-play broadcaster for more than a decade, covering a wide range of sports across eastern Iowa, including Iowa Hawkeye athletics, high school sports, and professional Hockey in the ECHL, along with select AHL games. He moved to Iowa in 2021 and now resides in eastern Iowa. In 2024, Fine was named the ECHL Hockey Broadcaster of the Year and also a finalist for the ECHL PR Director of the Year Award.
- Morgan Hawk, play-by-play: Morgan Hawk is a play-by-play broadcaster with more than 15 years of experience, including a decade as the radio voice of the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Hawk’s career includes experience broadcasting Division I college baseball, football, and basketball for KCRG-TV and radio stations throughout Eastern Iowa. He currently resides in Marion and works in communications within the energy utility industry.
- Andrew McGuire, analyst: Andrew McGuire brings a unique perspective to the Iowa High School State Baseball Tournament, having experienced it as a player, broadcaster, and coach. McGuire first competed in the tournament as a player for Bishop Garrigan before serving as a video production intern at Principal Park. Most recently, he has been an assistant coach for Johnston, helping lead the Dragons to seven consecutive state tournament appearances. McGuire is excited to combine his baseball and broadcasting experience while calling this year’s state tournament.
- Russ W. Ocker, play-by-play: Russ Ocker has built himself a long career in sports broadcasting and is the co-owner of the Iowa Media Network. He began calling baseball games for KCOG Radio in 1988 at just 16 years old. Throughout his career, Ocker has called three state championship games for Centerville and has had the opportunity to broadcast six JUCO World Series games for Indian Hills Community College athletics. Ocker and his wife, Angela, will be celebrating 30 years of marriage in August. They have two grown children.
- Todd Rima, analyst: Todd Rima is currently the Director of Athletics and head baseball coach at Kirkwood Community College. In 14 seasons as Kirkwood’s head baseball coach, Rima has won more than 800 career games, and guided the Eagles to three NJCAA World Series appearances. Before joining Kirkwood, he spent 11 seasons as the head baseball coach at North Iowa Area Community College and served as an assistant coach at the University of Northern Iowa, where he played collegiately. Rima also served as the head baseball coach at Cedar Rapids Prairie, leading the Hawks to back to back tournament appearances in 2016 and 2017. Rima currently resides in Fairfax with his family.
- Kent Stock, analyst: Kent Stock is a former teacher, coach, and middle school principal best known for leading the Norway High School baseball team during its now-famous final season. Now retired, Stock resides in Marion, Iowa, where he spends his time as a public speaker. In his free time, Stock enjoys watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
- Turk Wendell, analyst: Turk Wendell serves as an analyst bringing 17 seasons of professional baseball experience, including 12 seasons in Major League Baseball. Selected by the Atlanta Braves in the fifth round of the 1988 MLB Draft, he played for the Braves, Cubs, Mets, Phillies, and Rockies. Wendell spent three seasons with the Cubs, helping the team win its only championship in 1993. He also played for the National Champion New York Mets in the 2000 SubWay Series against the New York Yankees. Wendell appeared in 552 MLB games, recording 33 saves and a 3.83 ERA before retiring in 2005. This November he will be inducted into the New York Baseball Hall of Fame.
