District and substate pairings for the 2022 basketball postseason will be shared below as they become available.
Class 2A and Class 1A brackets were released on Friday, Feb. 4. Brackets for Class 4A and Class 3A have been released as of Wednesday, Feb. 9.
Preliminary round games in Class 1A are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 11. First round games in Class 2A and Class 1A begin on Monday, Feb. 14. Opening round substate games for Class 4A and Class 3A tipoff on Monday, Feb. 21.
Bracket seedings are selected by coaches in district and substate meetings. Brackets are displayed in district and substate formats through the links below.
Eight teams from each class advance to the 2022 state tournament, set for March 7-11 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Host sites subject to change. For more information on the postseason process, please view the Basketball Postseason Manual.

CLASS 2A
First round: Monday, Feb. 14 | Second round: Thursday, Feb. 17

CLASS 1A

For bracket purposes, the winners of District 1 and District 2 will play in Substate 1, the winners of District 3 and District 4 will play in Substate 2, and so on.

Tickets are $6 for district (2A, 1A) and substate (4A, 3A) games. Tickets are $8 for substate finals in all classes.
