Basketball: Postseason Brackets

District and substate pairings for the 2020 basketball postseason will be shared here once they are available. Class 2A and Class 1A brackets were released on Friday, Feb. 7. Class 4A and Class 3A brackets will be available on Friday, Feb. 14.

Postseason competition begins with opening round games on Monday, Feb. 17 in 2A and 1A. Opening round substate games for 4A and 3A tipoff on Monday, Feb. 24. Eight teams from each class advance to the 2020 state tournament, set for March 9-13 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

Bracket seedings are selected by coaches in district and substate meetings. Brackets are displayed in district and substate formats through the links below.

For bracket purposes, the winners of District 1 and District 2 will play in Substate 1, the winners of District 3 and District 4 will play in Substate 2, and so on.

Tickets are $6 for district (2A, 1A) and substate (4A, 3A) games. Tickets are $8 for substate finals in all classes.

Doubleheader sites play at 6:30 and 8 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Single game sites are set for 7 p.m.
